Instructions
  1. Rinse the cranberries. Place them in a food processor.
  2. Peel the ginger, and cut it into 6 pieces. Add the ginger to the food processor.
  3. Run the food processor until the cranberries and ginger are finely diced.
  4. Transfer the cranberry and ginger mix to a medium pot. Add the water, brown sugar, white sugar, and salt. Heat on high for 3 minutes.
  5. Turn the heat to medium low. Stir, and put a lid on the pot. Cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir. Cook for an additional 10 minutes with the lid on. Don't worry if the cranberry sauce is bubbling up. If it's spitting out from under the lid, turn the heat down slightly.
  7. Stir, and remove the lid. Cook for 10 minutes without the lid.
  8. Add the maple syrup. Stir until fully mixed in.
