baking soda
Instructions
Heat water until boiling or close to boiling.
Stir together tomato paste and spices.
Add half of the water and stir until fully mixed in.
Add the remaining water and stir until fully mixed in.
Add the baking soda, and stir well. It will bubble for a few minutes. This reduces the acidity of the sauce.
Let the sauce sit for at least 30 minutes before using it to allow the flavors to come together.
