Instructions

  1. Derib chard.
  2. Blend greens and ½ cup water until smooth.
  3. Heat oil and spices on medium heat for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in blended greens. Cook on medium heat. Stir after 10 minutes. It should be bubbling. Continue cooking on medium for additional 5 minutes and stir.
  5. Lower heat to medium-low. Cook for 5 minutes. Add ¼ cup water, and stir. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, stir.
  6. Cook for 10 more minutes. When the saag is done, it will be thick and deep green in color.
