Ingredients
- 8 oz hot water
- 7 oz jar of tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp Himalayan salt
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1/8 tsp baking soda

Instructions
- Heat water until boiling or close to boiling.
- Stir together tomato paste and spices.
- Add half of the water and stir until fully mixed in.
- Add the remaining water and stir until fully mixed in.
- Add the baking soda, and stir well. It will bubble for a few minutes. This reduces the acidity of the sauce.
- Let the sauce sit for at least 30 minutes before using it to allow the flavors to come together.
